
Marci Melinda Robinson
Marci M. Robinson is a micropaleontologist with the U.S. Geological Survey. She worked first with the Pliocene Research Interpretation and Synoptic Mapping (PRISM) project in 1994 as a part-time undergraduate co-op student. Robinson earned her Ph.D. in 2007@George Mason University, where she studied the coastal geomorphology of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. As a postdoctoral researcher, Robinson surveyed ancient shorelines along the southern and western coasts of Australia and examined the relationship between multiple proxies of ocean paleotemperature. She serves on the advisory panel for the Pliocene Model Intercomparison Project (PlioMIP) and as an assistant editor for the journal Micropaleontology.
