Amber Wendler is a biologist, storyteller, and community leader committed to advancing equity in science, the outdoors, and climate and environmental action. She is the coeditor of the anthology Been Outside: Adventures of Black Women, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming People in Nature (Mountaineers Books, 2023). In her free time, she enjoys running, birding, and biking.
