Jack R. White

Jack R. White is an expert in infrared radiometry and has worked in the field for 46 years. He was head of the Advanced Infrared Measurements Group for the U.S. Department of Defense@the Naval Air Warfare Center until his retirement in 1998. Today he works as a consultant in the analysis of infrared radiometric data. He is the author of four science books for young people. His first, The Invisible World of the Infrared (Putnam, 1984), was selected by the New York Academy of Sciences as an Honorable Mention title in 1985 and was included as one of the School Library Journal’s Best Books of the Year.
