David Groenfeldt is the director of the Santa Fe, New Mexico-based Water-Culture Institute, which aims to “establish a moral consensus about how water should be used, managed, protected, and governed.” He holds a PhD in anthropology from the University of Arizona and serves as an adjunct professor of anthropology at the University of New Mexico.
