Alison Jolly

Alison Jolly is Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Biology and Environmental Science@the University of Sussex. She began studying ringtailed lemurs in 1963 and continues to the present. Her books include Lucy's Legacy: Sex and Intelligence in Human Evolution (Harvard University Press, 1999), Lords and Lemurs: Mad Scientists, Kings with Spears, and the Survival of Diversity in Madagascar (Houghton Mifflin, 2004) and Ringtailed Lemur Biology: Lemur catta in Madagascar (Springer, 2006).
