Victor C. Li holds the E.B. Wylie Collegiate Chair Professorship@the University of Michigan, where he is a professor of civil and environmental engineering, and of materials science and engineering. He received his Ph.D. in solid and structural mechanics from Brown University in 1981. He has received the Stephen S. Atwood Award and the Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award from the University of Michigan. He holds nine U.S. patents. His research aims to nurture global sustainable development via harmonious coexistence between built and natural environments through advanced materials technology.
