Will Steffen is an emeritus professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society of the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. He is a councillor on the publicly funded Climate Council of Australia, which delivers independent expert information about climate change; a senior fellow at the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden; and a member of the Anthropocene Working Group. His research interests span a broad range within Earth system science, with an emphasis on sustainability and climate change.
