Timo Vuorisalo received his Ph.D. in ecological zoology@the University of Turku in 1989. In 1989–1990 he was a visiting postdoctoral fellow@the Indiana University, Bloomington. He is senior lecturer of Environmental Science and adjunct professor in the Department of Biology, University of Turku. His research interests include evolutionary ecology, environmental history and urban ecology.
