
Robert Connelly
Robert Connelly is professor and chair in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. He received a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He has visited the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifique in Bures-sur-Yvette, the University of Dijon and the University of Chambéry in France, Syracuse University, the University of Montreal, Eötvös University in Budapest and Bielefeld University in Bielefeld, Germany. His research interests include discrete geometry, particularly the study of rigid and flexible frameworks, distance geometry, packings and coverings, and the shapes of asteroids.
