Peter Hilton is Distinguished Professor of Mathematics Emeritus@the State University of New York, Binghamton, and Distinguished Professor of Mathematics@the University of Central Florida, Orlando. His research interests are in algebraic topology, homological algebra, group theory and category theory. His recent publications include Mathematical Vistas—From a Room with Many Windows, Springer-Verlag (2002) and Mathematical Reflections—In a Room with Many Mirrors, Springer-Verlag (corrected second printing, 1998); Derek Holton and Jean Pedersen were his coauthors on both books.
