Edmund Gerstein

Edmund R. Gerstein is director of marine mammal research and behavior in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic University. At Florida Atlantic, where he received his Ph.D. in psychology, he also holds appointments as an assistant research professor in psychology and a lecturer in biology. His research interests lie in the sensory biology, cognition and behavioral ecology of marine mammals. He is vice president of Leviathan Legacy Inc., an animal behavior and underwater acoustics research group currently investigating the acoustics surrounding ship collisions with North Atlantic right whales.
