Mya Thompson, PhD is the co-director of engagement in science and nature at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology where she focuses on nature connection, natural history, and participatory science. Mya founded the online learning platform, Bird Academy and is the author of two children’s books, Ruby’s Birds and Winged Heroes, that celebrate the birds and birders of New York City.
