David Gessner is the author of 13 books that are hybrids of a love of nature, humor, memoir, and environmentalism, including his most recent book, A Traveler’s Guide to the End of the World. Gessner is a professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the literary magazine Ecotone.
