Chintu Lai, emeritus member of Sigma Xi (elected 1957), is a Senior Research Fellow@the Hydrotech Research Institute, National Taiwan University, and scientist emeritus, U.S. Geological Survey. He received his Ph.D. in 1962 from the University of Michigan and worked with the USGS as research hydraulic engineer and research hydrologist from 1961 to 1993. After retirement, he continued his research career@NTU, first as a visiting professor in the civil engineering department, then as a senior research fellow.
