Jessie Abbate

Jessie Abbate is a research scientist who specializes in infectious disease ecology, evolution, and epidemiology. She received her PhD in biology from the University of Virginia and has held postdoctoral positions at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the French National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA), the French Research Institute for Development (IRD), and the University of Bern in Switzerland. She has published on a number of emerging disease topics, including the epidemiology of Ebola virus and describing distributions of zoonotic pathogens in wild animal hosts. Twitter: @jessieabbate.
