The Romance of Ants

A myrmecological comic brings entomologist Corrie Moreau’s journey to life

Alexandra Westrich, Matt Matcuk

A graphic-novel-style narrative is at the heart of The Romance of Ants, a temporary exhibit at The Field Museum in Chicago. Part of an effort to introduce visitors to the people who lead research at the museum, the narrative tells the story of Corrie Moreau, an entomologist and assistant curator at The Field. Alexandra Westrich, an artist who works in Moreau’s laboratory, created the drawings. Matt Matcuk, the museum’s exhibition development director, wrote the text.

For ease of reading, we recommend viewing the book in full-screen mode. To enter full-screen view, click the button at lower right of the slide-show screen below.
