Bringing Ancient Flora to Life with X-ray Technology

In her effort to understand late Jurassic Period flora, Carole Gee, a senior research scientist in paleobotany at the University of Bonn in Germany, uses x-ray microtomography (micro-CT) to examine the interior of rare seed cone fossils from the Morrison Formation in Utah.
