Forest Elephant Chronicles

This spring, the Elephant Listening Project of Cornell University filmed forest elephants at night with heat-sensitive cameras, a first in the study of these animals. Using bright lights to record the elusive creatures with conventional cameras is not possible. In one interaction captured in the rain forest of Central African Republic, sisters and a brother helped a newborn that the researchers call Valentine escape a hole.
