You should note that this article is from 2006...a little bit out-dated about new technologies :) Don't get offense. I find this article very nice and informative.

JSTOR, the online academic archive, contains complete back issues of American Scientist from 1913 (known then as the Sigma Xi Quarterly) through 2005.
