I found the tree diagram to be rather effective, and it would have been even more so if the green [n] shape in the second row were colored yellow instead of green.

The use of the Venn diagram as a legend for the multicolored bar chart was confusing, and required a great deal of moving back and forth between Venn and Bar. Or it would have, if the superior tree diagrm weren't available.
