Zenobia Jacobs

Biography

Zenobia Jacobs is an archaeologist and Senior Research Fellow in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Wollongong. She received her Ph.D. in 2004 from Aberystwyth University and established an optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating laboratory at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in Pretoria before moving to Australia. Her primary interests involve developing OSL dating methods for sand-sized grains of quartz and applying them to questions concerning modern human evolution in Africa.
