Biography

William B. Swann, Jr., is a professor of psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He has written extensively on the role of identity and the self in close relationships and small groups and is the author of Resilient Identities: Self, Relationships and the Construction of Social Reality (Basic Books, 1999).
