Wendy FreedmanBiography
Wendy Freedman is an astronomer at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California. Her research interests include the evolution of galaxies and their stellar populations, and the extragalactic distance scale and cosmology. She was recently elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Sciences, and this year was awarded the Magellanic Premium Award of the American Philosophical Society.
