Susan TurnerBiography
Susan Turner is a senior research associate at the Queensland Museum
and Monash University, Australia. She has recently been an
Australian Research Council Fellow and Australian representative on
the UNESCO-IUGS Scientific Board for IGCP (now International
Geoscience Programme). Her research concentrates on Paleozoic and
early Mesozoic fishes, especially sharks and shark ancestors. She
also studies the use of fish microfossils to date rocks and
understand the Earth's past geography. Address: School of
