Biography

Robert E. Shadwick earned his Ph.D. in zoology in 1983 from the University of British Columbia, where he is now a professor of zoology and Canada Research Chair in Integrative Animal Physiology. His current research interests include locomotion biomechanics and biomaterials. He is co-editor of the forthcoming book Fish Biomechanics: Fish Physiology Vol. 23 (Academic Press, 2006).
