Biography

Robert N. Proctor is a professor of the history of science at Pennsylvania State University and the author of, most recently, The Nazi War on Cancer, to be published this spring by Princeton University Press. He has written on environmental policy, bioethics, anthropolgy, racial theory and the “social construction of ignorance.” He is working on two books, one on theories of human origins, the other on agates.
