Biography

Richard “Bert” Roberts earned his Ph.D. in geomorphology at the University of Wollongong in 1991 and carried out research on the then-emerging OSL dating technique at universities in Oxford, Canberra and Melbourne before returning to Wollongong in 2001. He is an Australian Research Council Professorial Fellow in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, where he leads the OSL dating group in archaeology and paleontology projects in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
