Biography

R. Damian Nance is a native of Cornwall, U.K., and received his B.Sc in geology at the University of Leicester in 1972.  He moved to Canada in 1976 after completing his Ph.D. in geology at the University of Cambridge, and joined Ohio University, where he is now professor of geological sciences, in 1980. He shares with Dr. J. Brendan Murphy a research interest in tectonic activity and large-scale geodynamic processes, and the two have been collaborating since 1985.
