Patricia WrightBiography
Patricia C. Wright is a professor of anthropology at State University of
New York at Stony Brook. She has been Executive Director for the
Institute for the Conservation of Tropical Environments (ICTE) since
1992 and is a member of the Committee of Exploration and Research at the
National Geographic Society. She became a MacArthur Fellow in 1989 and
has received two medals of honor from the President of Madagascar in
honor of her conservation work there. She is the editor (with Elwyn L.
Simons and Sharon Gursky) of Tarsiers: Past, Present, and Future
(Rutgers University Press, 2003).
