Myles JacksonBiography
Myles W. Jackson is associate professor of the history of science,
director of humanities and chair of science studies at Willamette
University in Salem, Oregon. His first book, Spectrum of Belief:
Joseph von Fraunhofer and the Craft of Precision Optics
(The MIT Press, 2000) received the Paul Bunge Prize from the German
Chemical Association. His second book, Harmonious Triads:
Physicists, Musicians and Instrument Makers in
Nineteenth-Century Germany, will be published by The MIT
Press in 2006.
