Mike May covers a wide spectrum of science and technology as a freelance writer who works from his home in Madison, Indiana. His work appears in magazines that range from American Heritage of Invention & Technology and Scientific American to Boys’ Life and Cooking Light. Before going freelance, he worked for seven years as an associate editor at American Scientist. Earlier still, he completed a Ph.D. in neurobiology and behavior at Cornell University and an M.S. in biological engineering at the University of Connecticut.
