Biography

Lawrence Buell is John P. Marquand Professor of English and American Literature, and Language, at Harvard University. He is the author most recently of Emerson (Belknap Press, 2003) and is the editor of Ralph Waldo Emerson: A Collection of Critical Essays (Pearson Education, 1992).
