Biography

Lawren M. Smithline is a mathematician at the Center for Communications Research. In 2000, he earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, for his thesis on p-adic modular forms. He then worked at Cornell University for several years, where he shifted his focus to computational biology. At the Center for Communications Research, he acquired an interest in signal processing.
