Laura Watchman

Biography

Laura Watchman is the director of habitat conservation programs at Defenders of Wildlife. She holds a master’s degree in zoology from the University of Washington, where she studied ornithology, ecology and conservation biology. Her professional interests include the relation between science and public policy, especially the use of biological information in land-use decision-making.
