Biography

Kevin White earned a Ph.D. in remote sensing from the University of Reading in 1990. He spent the next three years at the University of Oxford and worked for one year at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand before returning to the University of Reading to join the faculty. White has a total of 20 years of experience conducting research in desert areas, notably in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He specializes in the application of satellite remote-sensing technology to the study of these inaccessible areas.
