Joseph Kiesecker

Biography

Joseph M. Kiesecker received his Ph.D. in zoology from Oregon State University in 1997. After postdoctoral research at Yale University, he joined the biology department at the Pennsylvania State University as an assistant professor in 1999. He has spent the last 10 years trying to understand the factors responsible for disease outbreaks and how disease can contribute to the decline of threatened species, above all amphibians.
