Jérôme KasparianBiography
Jérôme Kasparian is an investigator in Jean-Pierre
Wolf's group at the Laboratoire de spectrométrie ionique et
moléculaire (LASIM), part of France's Centre national de la
recherche scientifique and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
He received his Ph.D. in 1997 at the LASIM, where he studied lidar
remote sensing and the optical properties of aerosols. He then
joined the Institute for Optics and Quantum Electronics at the
Friedrich Shiller Universität in Jena, Germany, where his main
interest was the nonlinear optics and propagation of ultrashort,
high-power laser pulses through the atmosphere. He participated in
launching the French-German Teramobile collaboration before
returning to Lyon as the coordinator of this project. Address:
