Biography

Howard Wainer is Distinguished Research Scientist at the National Board of Medical Examiners and an adjunct professor of statistics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has published 18 books, most recently Picturing the Uncertain World (Princeton University Press). He is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and was awarded the 2007 National Council on Measurement in Education Career Achievement Award for Contributions to Educational Measurement.
