Biography

George E. Webb is professor of history at Tennessee Tech University, where he teaches history of science and American history. He has published three books on the history of science in the United States, including The Evolution Controversy in America (University Press of Kentucky, 1994). His current research project is a detailed examination of the 1877 American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
