Biography

George K. Francis is professor of mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, senior research scientist at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and faculty affiliate of the Beckman Institute. He practices computer graphics to visualize geometry and teaches undergraduates in the Campus Honors Program to do likewise. He is working on The Geometrical Puppetshow, a sequel to A Topological Picturebook (Springer, 1987).
