Biography

Eduard Niesten is director of the Conservation Economics Program at Conservation International's Center for Applied Biodiversity Science in Washington, D.C. His research interests include local institutions for management of common property, the implications of globalization for biodiversity worldwide, integrated conservation and development projects, sustainable forest management, agroforestry and forestry-based carbon sequestration efforts.
