David H. DeVorkin

Biography

David H. DeVorkin is curator of the history of astronomy in the division of space history at the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. He is the author of Henry Norris Russell: Dean of American Astronomers (Princeton University Press, 2000). DeVorkin is also coauthor (with Robert W. Smith) of The Hubble Space Telescope: Imaging the Universe (National Geographic Society, 2004) and is the editor of Beyond Earth: Mapping the Universe (National Geographic Society, 2002).
