Christopher HamlinBiography
Christopher Hamlin is professor of history and the history and philosophy of science at the University of Notre Dame and honorary professor in the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He specializes in the history of public health and is most recently the author of Cholera: The Biography (Oxford University Press, 2009). He is also the author of A Science of Impurity: Water Analysis in Nineteenth Century Britain (1990) and Public Health and Social Justice in the Age of Chadwick: Britain, 1800-1854 (1998).
