Carolyn C. Porco

Biography

Carolyn C. Porco received her Ph.D. in 1983 from the California Institute of Technology in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences. She was a member of the Voyager Imaging Team for the Uranus and Neptune encounters. In 1990 she was selected as the leader of the imaging team responsible for the images taken with Cassini's high-resolution cameras. She is Senior Research Scientist at the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado, Director of the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations (CICLOPS) and an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
