Biography

Bettyann Holtzmann Kevles is a lecturer in the History Department at Yale University. She is the author of Females of the Species: Sex and Survival in the Animal Kingdom (Harvard University Press, 1986), Naked to the Bone: Medical Imaging in the Twentieth Century (Perseus, 1987) and most recently, Almost Heaven: The Story of Women in Space (The MIT Press, 2006).
