Arthur H. Heuer

Biography

Arthur H. Heuer is University Professor and Kyocera Professor of Ceramics in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, where he directs the Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials and the Case Center for Surface Engineering. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Heuer earned a B.S. in chemistry from CCNY, and Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in applied science and physical ceramics, respectively, from the University of Leeds, England. His research focuses on structure-property relations of metals, ceramics and semiconductors.
